Dip Dye

Just leaving for a dinner date with one of my friends who is here for the weekend, excited to catch up after so long!
I love long weekends but I feel like Its already going way to fast and I still have so much to do. Tomorrow will be reserved for studying, I am not looking forward to it at all.
I am also loving these pants! I saw a pair like these at Zara and before I caved and spent over $100, I had a fabulous idea. I would do a little DIY project and bleach my old jeans. It took a while to bleach them and air the smell out but they are finally ready to wear!

Floral Madness

Outfit Details:

Blazer: Thrifted and made shorter

Shirt: Reitmens

Shorts: Joe Fresh

Shoes: Montreal Boutique

I saw this floral jacket at the rummage sale 2 years ago and I knew that it had to be mine! The floral craze had not yet begun but I knew this was a gem. Whenever I would be getting ready I would grab this jacket but It looked out of place. I then had the great idea in making it into a blazer! Ta-da! I am in love with the result and I promise you it wont be neglected any longer.

Thank Goodness For Colour Blocking

                                                     Outfit details:
                                                     Top: George
                                                     Skirt: Urban Outfitters
                                                     Purse: Aldo
                                                     Shoes: Gifted
                                                     Sunglasses: Ray Bans

I don’t think I will ever get sick of colour blocking especially now that I have mastered it! If you are having problems achieving this look and get sweaty when thinking about it, stress no more my friends! I stumbled upon a fashion blog who made it very easy and there is no formula involved so put that calculator away…

Behold the colour wheel! This is your cue to “ooooo” and “ahhh”

Lesson 1: Colours across such as red and green are perfect to use to colour block. Example red pants with a green top, or blue pants and a yellow top

Lesson 2: To add to the above lesson you can use accessories such as a belt, handbag, shoes etc to increase the amount of colour in your outfit. If you are colour blocking with a green top and red pants you look to the sides of the colour wheel and use blue or yellow!

I hope that helps you and don’t forget to have fun!

Till next time

Back to School, Back to Reality

When I was in Junior High and High School my day before school started looked something like this:

- Organize all my new school supplies and place in my new backpack

-Call my friends and ask what they are going to wear for the first day of school

-Make potential outfits for first day of school

-Call my friends again and narrow down potential outfits (I am not kidding about this it would take hours)

-Lay out outfit for tomorrow

-Go to bed at 9:30 and try to fall asleep but can’t because way too excited. (I am a nerd I know)

Yesterday I started my first day back at University and the planning I used to do in Junior High and High School went out the window. I didn’t go supply shopping so I had to rummage through my entire house for a pen that worked and a new scribbler. I had no idea what classes I was taking that day and more importantly had no clue what they were called. Ok I know that makes me look bad but it was the first day, cut me some slack! Usually the first classes are brief and just go over the course or so I thought until my Prof had a 90 min lecture and would not let us out a minute early. When some students started to pack up a minute to soon he shouted “Don’t pack up, we are not done yet!”  I hate Profs that use every single minute and even go over class time. My head was hurting after that class and the only thing that made me a bit happy besides seeing my friends was this neon skirt I wore. It was so bright against my dark legs that it was actually glowing. Now how could I not laugh at that?

Dress-Thrifted

I got off work early today (woohoo!) and so I met up with my friends on a roof top patio. It was so nice out I could have sat up there all day! I definitely needed to relax after my crazy three weeks at my internship. I have been trying to work and have a summer but it’s been exhausting. Last Sunday I slept 15 hours, yes 15 hours!
Hope you guys have a great weekend xoxo

Hello Summer!

                                       Outfit Details

                                          Sweater: Thrifted

                                          Shorts: Joe Fresh

                                          Sunnies : Ray-Bans

Summer is here! FINALLY! It’s been gorgeous outside so my friends and I decided to go out for dinner and sit on a patio. Unfortunately the restaurant did not get the memo on the weather and the patio was closed! I was so sad, but at least I have a nice deck in my backyard that I plan to enjoy right after I write this post.

I love this red sweater, it reminds me of the 50’s when boys that were on the basketball team they would give their jackets to the girls they wanted to go “steady” with! My friend wanted to stop at the thrift store but I made a promise not to buy anything. But when I saw this sweater I knew I had to break my promise and buy it! For only $5.99 it really wasn’t a purchase that would break the bank, so I felt much better!

Style Crush: Anna Dello Russo

I can’t exactly pin point what I love about her, it might be that she has a whole apartment dedicated to her clothes or that she wears designer outfits only minutes after it was shown on the runway. Whatever the reason I can’t get enough of her and I am always lusting over what she wears. You can always tell that she lives, loves and breathes fashion. To me that’s just amazing.
